Hello friend,

I hope and pray you are well. My daughter is getting better every day by God’s grace. She is recovering from whooping cough. It is summer at our place and the weather has become hot and humid. I can deal with the heat but not with the humidity. It makes my chronic health issues worse. In October my family and I are planning to visit my home country Germany after 8 years. We haven’t been able to visit it much earlier and more often due to personal and financial issues. We have been in a wilderness period for a long time but finally God is making a way for us to come out of it. God is faithful and “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NIV)

Here is my weekly encouragement.

Weekly Biblical Encouragement

As we embark on a new week, may we find refuge in the Lord, who is good and strong in times of trouble. In Nahum 1:7-8, the prophet reminds us that “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.” When fear or anxiety try to overtake our minds, we can run to the shelter of God’s everlasting arms. Our mighty Fortress offers protection no enemy can breach. Though storms rage all around, His presence brings perfect peace within. This week, even amid life’s uncertainties, fix your gaze firmly on the Lord alone. Recall how He has proven faithful time and time again, neither slumbering nor sleeping in His watchcare over His own. In seasons of distress, take heart that our refuge will never leave or forsake us. The God who is near to the brokenhearted is near even now to soothe our souls.
